WebStride designed a logo for Friends Cup, a small badminton doubles tournament, aiming to capture the spirit of friendship and sportsmanship. We incorporated a unique design element where the shuttlecock's feathers transform into figures that represent people, symbolizing unity and community. This creative approach gave the logo a lively, meaningful feel, emphasizing the tournament’s friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
Our design brought together vibrant colors and dynamic shapes to convey energy and movement, aligning with the excitement of the sport. The logo's modern, clean look ensures versatility across various platforms, from digital to print, while the thoughtful iconography resonates with the event’s purpose of bringing people together through badminton.
Challenge
The main challenge was to design an impactful logo that represented both the sport of badminton and the event's emphasis on friendship and collaboration. We needed to make sure the icon was not only visually appealing but also meaningful, resonating with players and audiences alike. Balancing simplicity with significance required a strategic design approach.
Another challenge was ensuring the logo was versatile enough to be used across different mediums without losing clarity or appeal. It needed to stand out on digital platforms, event banners, and merchandise, while still maintaining its identity and message.
Solutions
We tackled the challenge by transforming the feathers of the shuttlecock into abstract figures, representing people engaged in celebration and teamwork. This design choice visually communicates the theme of camaraderie while maintaining a clear connection to badminton. We used bold, contrasting colors to emphasize movement and energy, creating an eye-catching and memorable look.
To ensure versatility, we refined the logo for clarity and adaptability, making it suitable for various applications. The final result was a vibrant, meaningful emblem that captures the essence of Friends Cup and leaves a lasting impression on participants and spectators alike.
